Industrial Lullaby

There's a place in the middle of nowhere where dreams go to die. I visit it in my sleep covered in the veil of the city rust a velvet cloak of despair anchored to my scapula with wire and bullet-holes. Surrounded by an ocean of life on the cusp of bare metal and steel, I am buried underneath the haze, a sea of high pressure torment filling my emptiness with pollution and filth. The cavitary holes eat away piece-meal until I am left grasping, unable to gather the unraveling threads of ribbon and metal that led me here. There's a place in the middle of nowhere where dreams go to die. And it's beginning to feel like home.

I don't have a lot of memories of the time before I was five. I remember lying on the floor in, I think, the living room, having just found what appeared to be some sort of gelatinous excreta, presumably from the cat. This was the first time I had ever encountered such a thing, and I found it to be bewildering, like finding a jellyfish on the beach. I remember falling down the stairs to the basement once. There's something in the air

I'm back!  However, I can't say there's much to update.  I'm still insanely busy most days, but it has been lovely to poke around the site and catch up with some old friends.  I also have really enjoyed the group feature that has popped up since my last time being around; it's a great way to get to know people.  Through it, I've met a heavy handful of awesome people. :love: Also, today marks my 10th year anniversary at dA! :woohoo:  It's crazy how far I've come.  I remember starting at this site at the young age of 15, spreading my literature wings.  The site has changed so much in that time, growing beyond anything I could have imagined.  T

Here and back again

Hello to my old, good friends.  It's nice to see some of you still floating around, leaving such kind messages on my page.  It always makes coming back to this site a joyful experience. :bulletblue: So much has changed since I started my time here on deviantart.  When I started, I was a freshman in high school.  In many ways, I was angry, upset, and in all honesty, not a very good writer.  While I still hesitate to call myself a good writer, I can say that I am happy and in a great place. So much has changed in 7 years.  I learned so much in my time here.  So much from so many people.  Thank you to every single one of you.  There are far too many to list. I graduated from college this past May, and otherwise am doing well.  If you want to know what I've been up to recently, just ask.  I feel awkward talking about it here

Hey there old friend

I came back here to get some links to show a friend some of my old poetry and I saw your name all over a lot of them. I don't even know if you ever come back here (said last visit was two years ago) but I pop back here and there.

I don't write much anymore but have found a great outlet in cosplay photography of all things. I get to go to conventions all over the United States now, have a nice side business doing photography and it has actually led to a couple of other side businesses I am starting now.
