i slept next to a hammer
last afternoon
it was the one i used to tear down
all the pictures of him

now covering my floor
a snowfall of torn images
and relationships ruined.


i slept next to a promise
last night
when i couldn't help but dream
of faery tales and my happily ever after.

we tried to vaccuum it all away
from the corners of my room
but dust and dreams never travel far away.


i slept next to your memory
this afternoon
when the sun claimed many things
dancing on my nude legs

and i stopped trying to get rid of him
for the past never goes away
and i learned the truth from pain--

i love again.

was inspired by the hammer laying on my bed that i had left from hanging something in my room today. i jumped up and started writing, something that hardly happens anymore. hopefully i captured my more cheerful side for once. and the title is a mix between slept and asleep... that period where you arent sure if you're away or still dreaming. i think i'm going to be in that period most of my life. :) (Smile)

thoughout all the pain and heartache, this person means more to me then anyone ever has. i would go through hell and back again (it's only fifteen minutes away ;) (Wink) ) for them. sorry bout the pun, but yah. very few will get that, but those that do should get a laugh out of it.

if only i could feel this good everyday. :) (Smile)

a Hug for everyone that takes the time to read this, and even those that dont.
